Bruno🐾

Bruno's presence adds an extra layer of excitement to our travels. We have to be extra cautious when it comes to his food, making sure it meets all the regulations and restrictions of different countries. It's surprising to see how many dog food products claim to be beef-based, but actually contain byproducts. This experience has made us more aware of the importance of reading labels and understanding the ingredients in our food, both for ourselves and our furry companions.

While some may consider chicken to be a healthier choice of meat, it is important to note that the term "meat by-products" can encompass a wide range of ingredients, including potentially unsavory ones like hair, roadkill, and animal waste. These ingredients are often used as cheap fillers in pet food and are not necessarily beneficial or nutritious for our furry friends. It is important to carefully read and understand the ingredients in pet food to ensure the health and well-being of our pets.

It is also crucial to regularly check for and treat fleas and ticks, as they can cause harm to both Bruno and our camper. This is especially important when traveling to different regions, as different areas may have different parasites and diseases. By staying on top of prevention, we can ensure the safety and well-being of both our pet and us.

Bruno is a unique pet that requires special care in both hot and cold weather. In the summer, we have to be mindful of his paws and make sure he avoids walking on sharp rocks, sand, glass, and other potentially harmful objects. It's also important to keep him hydrated and check for any ticks, bugs, or bites. In the winter, we have to bundle him up in jackets, coats, and sweaters to keep him warm, since he doesn't like to wear shoes or boots. We also have to use paw balm to protect his paws from the cold and ice. It is very important to find what makes your furry friend happy and not feel as if you are punishing them by putting clothing on your pet. Despite these challenges, Bruno is a beloved member of our family and we're happy to make sure he stays comfortable and healthy in all types of weather.

In addition to regular visits to the vet, it is important to maintain your dog's dental hygiene. This can be achieved by using doggie toothpaste and a doggie toothbrush to brush your dog's teeth regularly, yes Bruno has a toothbrush and dog toothpaste and he loves it, please be sure to only use toothpaste designed for your furry friend. This will also help prevent dental issues and promote overall health for your furry friend.

It's important to be aware of allergies not just for ourselves, but for our furry companions as well. As pet owners, we must be vigilant during allergy season and take necessary precautions to ensure our dogs' health and well-being. This may include regular grooming, monitoring their exposure to allergens, and consulting with a veterinarian if necessary. Keeping our dogs healthy and happy is an important responsibility that comes with being a pet owner.

As well as making sure he gets enough exercise for his size, we also make sure he gets plenty of rest, and Bruno definitely gets plenty of nappies.
