Travel Days

Travel days are a peaceful and reflective time, watching the world go by from the passenger window of a vehicle. It's a chance to disconnect from the rush of everyday life and appreciate the beauty of our surroundings. Travel days also offer the opportunity to meet new people and experience different cultures. It's a reminder that the world is a vast and diverse place, full of endless possibilities.

The diversity in architecture and housing styles is also fascinating, with Colonial, Casitas, Adobe, Hacienda, Bungalow, Craftsman, and Earth homes all showcasing unique and beautiful designs. The array of colors used in these homes adds to the charm and character of the landscape, creating a visually stunning environment. The agricultural practices in this area are also noteworthy, with crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat being grown, as well as livestock like cattle, goats and, sheep being raised. This provides an interesting glimpse into the local economy and way of life.

Renewable energy sources may have their advantages, but they also have their drawbacks. While the sight of a windmill may be breathtaking, the flashing lights and constant whooshing of the blades can be irritating for some people. Additionally, large solar panel farms can disrupt natural habitats, leading to a decrease in wildlife populations. It is important to consider both the benefits and drawbacks of renewable energy sources as we continue to shift to the future.

The diversity in living situations has shown me that no matter where we come from or what we have, we are all human and deserve equal respect and kindness. It has also taught me to appreciate the little things in life and to not take anything for granted. Traveling as a nomad has opened my eyes to different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life, making me a more understanding and empathetic person. It has truly been a life-changing experience that I will always cherish.

I have learned so much from these interactions and have gained a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diversity of our world. It has also broadened my perspective and challenged my preconceived notions. I am grateful for these opportunities to connect with people from all walks of life and to learn from them. It has truly enriched my life and I will continue to seek out these meaningful interactions in the future.

The southwest area is known for its beautiful landscapes and tourist attractions, making it a popular destination for travelers. Many of us come here around the end of the year and stay until the summer heat becomes too much to handle. At that point, we all search for higher elevations to escape the heat, as the higher the elevation, the cooler the weather tends to be. It's a cycle that repeats every year, but we all love the area and keep coming back to explore and enjoy its beauty.
